| Love and Other drugs Premiere |
With the release of their upcoming movie Love and Drugs, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet. Although the film from director Edward Zwick ( The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) has some big stars it definitely has an independent feel to it. Maybe that has something to do with it being filmled on location in Pittsburgh. Filming outside of a studio feels raw and real and is becoming more of a trend in Hollywood filmmaking. Now when I saw the first trailer for the film I wasn't really wowed recently I came across an alternate trailer of Love and Other Drugs that was WAY better . What I like about the other trailer is that it actually elicits some emotion from us. The first one left me feeling empty and Anne Hathaway came off SUPER bitchy and unlikable and Jake Gyllenhaal came off toolish at best. Albeit I'm not ready to say this thing is an oscar contender or that I'll even head out to catch in in theaters but I will say, I'm intrigued and certainly interested in seeing Jake Gyllenhaal as a money hungry pharmaceutical rep who falls for the one girl who he just can't have.
